No deadlines
Prop firm with no time limit
Core Funded is a prop firm with no time limit: every account type and size, in the challenge and on the funded account, has no expiry date. You trade at your own pace, and only your profit target and minimum trading days decide when you move forward.
Time limit, minimum trading days and profit target by account type
| Account type | Time limit | Min trading days | Profit target | Price ($100K) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Instant | None | 5 | None | 1,195€ |
| 1-Step | None | 3 | 10% | 735€ |
| 2-Step (Phase 1 / Phase 2) | None | 3 per phase | 10% / 5% | 495€ |
| 2-Step Flex (Phase 1 / Phase 2) | None | 5 per phase | 10% / 5% | 745€ |
What no time limit actually means
None of the Instant, 1-Step, 2-Step or 2-Step Flex accounts has an expiry date. A challenge doesn't fail because too many weeks have passed, and a funded account doesn't close after a fixed number of months. The requirements count qualifying trading days, not calendar days.
This applies to the challenge and to the funded account. You can trade only a few days a month, wait for the setups you want or take a week off without a countdown working against you.
The one time rule: trade at least once every 30 days
There is one rule about time, and it is generous: if an account has no trade at all for 30 days, it is closed. This inactivity rule applies to challenge and funded accounts alike.
A single trade resets that clock, so a long break is fine as long as you place a trade somewhere within each 30-day window. If you plan a longer holiday, open and close one small position before you go.
Why Core Funded has no deadline
A deadline pushes traders into oversized positions and rushed decisions in the last days of a challenge. Without one, you can follow your normal process: wait for your setup, size positions the way you would anyway and skip days with no edge.
The minimum trading days still apply, so no account is passed in one lucky session. You need several days with at least 0.5% net realized profit before you move to the next phase or request a payout.
How it fits with the loss limits
No time limit doesn't mean no risk rules. The max daily loss (3% on Instant and 1-Step, 5% on 2-Step, none on 2-Step Flex) and the static max total loss (5% Instant, 6% 1-Step, 8% 2-Step, 12% 2-Step Flex) apply on every day you trade, however long you take.
Because the total loss is static, time works for you: profit you build stays as a buffer above a floor that never moves up. Taking your time to build that buffer is a sound way to approach the target.
Swing trading, overnight and weekend positions
Without a deadline, holding trades for days makes sense, and the rules allow it. Overnight and weekend positions are allowed on every account type, and crypto trades 24/7. Only realized profit counts toward the target and the qualifying days, so a swing trade counts on the day you close it.
After you pass: still no deadline
When you pass a phase, you request the next one in the dashboard and keep the same account and login, reset to the starting balance. The funded account has no expiry either. Payouts are on demand in Match-Trader: you need the minimum trading days for your first payout and 3 new qualifying days for each later one, again counted in trading days, not calendar time.
If you want to grow the account, the scaling plan adds 25% of the starting balance for every 3-month period with 12% profit. That is an opportunity, not a requirement: nothing happens to your account if you don't hit it.
Example: a $100,000 2-Step account at your own pace
A trader with a day job buys a $100,000 2-Step account for 495€ and trades two evenings a week.
- Weeks 1–3
- Six sessions, two qualifying days, balance $104,000
- Weeks 4–5
- Holiday, one small trade placed before leaving, no countdown running
- Weeks 6–9
- Third qualifying day, balance $110,500, Phase 1 target of $110,000 reached
- Phase 2
- Same account and login, reset to $100,000, target $105,000, 3 more qualifying days
- Static floor throughout
- $92,000, it never moves up
Nine weeks for Phase 1 is no problem at all. Only the target, the qualifying days and the loss limits matter.
Who this suits
- Traders with a day job who can only trade a few sessions a week
- Swing traders who hold positions for days and need time between entries
- Traders who want to skip weak setups without a deadline pushing them to trade
- Traders who build qualifying days gradually across weeks or months
- Anyone who has failed a timed challenge by forcing trades near the end
