Crypto prop firm: trade crypto on a funded account
Core Funded is a crypto prop firm where you trade crypto CFDs around the clock on a funded account, including overnight and over the weekend. You pass a 1-Step or 2-Step challenge or buy an Instant account, then trade Bitcoin, Ether and other coins next to forex, indices and commodities on Match-Trader.

Crypto CFDs, 24/7
Crypto markets don't close, and neither does crypto trading on your Core Funded account. You can open, manage and hold crypto positions at night and through the weekend, while forex and index markets are shut.
The crypto list on Match-Trader has close to 30 pairs, from the majors to smaller coins and crosses. Crypto sits on the same account as forex, indices and commodities, so there is no separate crypto-only product: you pick an Instant, 1-Step, 2-Step or 2-Step Flex account and trade crypto within it.
- Majors: BTCUSD, ETHUSD, SOLUSD, XRPUSD, BNBUSD
- Further coins: ADAUSD, LTCUSD, DOTUSD, BCHUSD, XLMUSD and more
- Euro and cross pairs: BTCEUR, ETHEUR, XRPEUR, ETHBTC
1:5 leverage on crypto and what it means for margin
Crypto runs at 1:5 leverage, compared with 1:100 on forex, indices and commodities. With $1 of equity you can move $5 in a crypto position, so the same position size ties up 20 times more margin than it would on a forex pair.
A $20,000 Bitcoin position needs $4,000 of margin; a $20,000 EURUSD position needs $200. That matters because the rules count using more than 50% of your available margin as excessive margin usage, and on crypto you get there much faster. Size crypto trades by margin and by your distance to the loss limits, not by habit from forex.
Holding crypto over the weekend
Overnight and weekend positions are allowed on every account type, which is what lets you hold a crypto trade through a Saturday move in the first place. Your loss limits keep running while you hold: the daily loss limit is recalculated every day at 00:00 UTC, and the static total loss floor applies at every moment.
Weekend days also count toward your minimum trading days. A Saturday on which you close crypto trades with at least 0.5% net profit is a qualifying day like any weekday.
How the loss limits treat an open crypto position
Both loss limits are measured on equity, which is your balance plus open positions. An unrealized loss on a Bitcoin trade counts the same as a realized one, so a sharp move against an open position can hit the daily or total limit before you close it.
The daily limit is set at 00:00 UTC from the higher of balance or equity, minus the account's percentage of the starting balance. The total loss limit is static: on a $100,000 2-Step account the floor stays at $92,000 from the first trade to the last, however much profit you build above it.
Rules that apply to crypto like any other market
Crypto has no separate rulebook. Minimum trading days, the consistency rule at payout and the news window on funded accounts apply to crypto exactly as they do to forex. Hedging on the same account is allowed, martingale is not, and a stop loss is not mandatory. EAs, trade copiers and copy trading between your own accounts are allowed.
Two rules are worth knowing if you scalp crypto: more than 50% of trades held for under one minute counts as gambling, and opening three or more positions on a losing trade is not allowed. An account without a single trade for 30 days is closed.
Which account type suits crypto
Instant suits you if you want to trade crypto from day one without an evaluation, with a 3% daily and 5% total limit. 1-Step and 2-Step suit traders who are happy to pass a target first at a lower price. 2-Step Flex, available up to $100,000, has no daily loss limit and a 12% static total limit, which gives volatile overnight crypto positions the most room within a single day.
Getting paid, and paying, in crypto
Payouts are requested in Match-Trader whenever your account qualifies and paid by bank transfer or crypto within 24 hours. If a payout takes longer, you keep 100% of the profit split on it. The identity check happens once, on your first payout request.
The profit split is 80%, upgradable to 90% or 95% at checkout. Each request can include up to 50% of your total profit, capped at $2,500 on accounts up to $100,000 and $5,000 on larger ones. You can also pay for your account in crypto at checkout, for example in Bitcoin, Ether or USDT.
Worked example: a Bitcoin trade on a $100,000 2-Step account
A trader buys a $100,000 2-Step account for 495€ and opens a $20,000 BTCUSD position on a Friday evening.
- Margin at 1:5
- $4,000 (the same $20,000 in EURUSD at 1:100: $200)
- Bitcoin falls 5% on Saturday
- Open loss $1,000, equity $99,000
- Daily limit (5%)
- Equity may not fall more than $5,000 below the 00:00 UTC level
- Static total loss floor (8%)
- $92,000, still $7,000 away
- Bitcoin recovers, closed Sunday at +4%
- Realized profit $800, Sunday counts as a qualifying day
The weekend move never threatened either limit because the position was sized for crypto margin. The same $20,000 at 1:5 is a far bigger commitment than it looks next to forex.
Who this is for
- Traders who want to hold crypto positions overnight and through the weekend
- Traders who already trade forex, indices or commodities and want crypto on the same funded account
- Traders who want their payouts in crypto as well as by bank transfer
- Traders who size by margin and are comfortable with 1:5 leverage on crypto
- Swing traders who want weekend days to count toward their trading days
